I placed the order this morning. They will be shipped to NormanViking's address for pickup Tuesday after work (hopefully).
They have storms forecast through the weekend. They won't send people out to collect them if there's a risk of lightning. I'll keep everyone posted.
They do have some specific instructions on how to acclimate the livestock. I'll provide those too.

Here are the acclimation instructions direct form Key's Kritters web site.
Acclimation Instructions:
All inverts are acclimated to 1.025 sq @ 78° F.
We pack and ship bulk inverts dry - ie: snails and hermits.
Do not drip acclimate dry packed inverts.
Most people run their invertebrate systems at 1.025 sq / 78° F. If your system is already within that range, you just need to turn the lights off on your aquarium, float for temp, give them a quick rinse in aquarium water, dispose of the rinse water, and immediately release.

If for some reason you are not running your system 1.025 sq / 78° F, before you receive your shipment have a container (1-2 gal) ready with "old" salt water (this can be out of your current system) that is adjusted to 1.025 sq @ 78° F and kept well aerated. That is a measure of specific gravity and the measurement is temperature dependent.
Float the bags in this water for approx 15-20 min to adjust for temperature, then just open the bags, rinse in a small amount of the old salt water in the container, dispose of the rinse water, and release the inverts into the container.
Proceed with any other acclimation after that if your system is of a different specific gravity and temperature.

Dan, Dave, it's all the same. Must've been leftovers from the draft message editing process.
I got an update from Key's Kritters this morning:
"Dan, good Sunday morning. Here's where we stand on this end this morning. Our weather is giving us fits right now, heat, torrential rain, and lightning. We have had two boats out with three collectors on each boat for the past three days. Normally, they would have collected around 10,000 astrea by now. They have only been able to find and collect a little over 2000 as of this morning. This morning we are sending all four boats out with a full crew on each boat to collect. We are filling next weeks orders on a first come basis. We may not be able to fill and ship your order on Tuesday for Wednesday delivery, but we will probably be able to fill and ship to you later in the week. If it's any consolation, we are supplying our customers before we supply wholesalers/transshippers. We will keep you up to date and informed. Unfortunately, on this end, we are at the mercy of the weather.

More acclimation instructions for the snails/clams:
Bring a small ice chest to pick up your livestock. Be ready to do the following when you get them home.
"In a nut shell, what you want to do with dry packed inverts is:
1. get them OUT OF THE BAG AS SOON AS YOU OPEN IT. Opening the bag will raise the pH rapidly, raising the pH will make any ammonium (A Lot of ammonium with snails) toxic.
2. If your aquarium is not 1.025/78F, have a container ready with aged salt water that is 1.025/78F with an air stone bubbling.
3. Float the bag of snails - UNOPENED - in that container long enough for the temp to get the same.
4. Open the bag and take enough of that salt water to rinse them off, swish it around to RINSE THEM REAL FAST. Rinsing too long will expose them to toxic levels of ammonium.
5. Immediately after the quick rinse, THROW OUT the rinse water you used to rinse them off. It is very high in ammonium. DO NOT put the rinse water in the bucket of 1.025 water.
6. Immediately dump the crabs/snails in the container of 1.025/78 water you have ready.
7. If your tank water is a different salinity, slowly acclimate the snails/crabs as you would acclimate any other livestock before adding them to your tank.
Then you can take your time and acclimate them from that container to your
aquarium.
