Group Buy???

I need 12 T5 bulbs was wondering if anyone else is interested. I'm willing to speak with Reef Geek to find out just what #'s we would have to purchase in order to get a discount etc.

Here are the discounts for the T5 bulbs: 12 - 10% / 24 - 15% / 36 - 20%

For MH the discount is: 6- 10% / 12 - 15% / 24 - 20%

Right now I count 20 T5's - 2 MH

In order to get the 20% we need 16 more bulbs.

free shipping to one location, otherwise we pay for shipping. Everyone signs up and then sends an e-mail to reefgeek (I'll send everyone the info). If theycome to me I will bring to club meeting or pickup at my house, (Holbrook)

If we can get the discount, I'll get new bulbs for all my tanks. I need 14 T5s for one fixture and 3 halide bulbs. I'll count the others later. I can pick up in Holbrook.

How does everyone feel about the 30% being offered by Rich at Aquarium Village? Wouldn't have to worry about delivery, pickup could be at the store. I'd be willing to pickup any paid orders and bring them to Holbrook if that is easier for anyone. Any thoughts???

For all those people interested in getting the 30% from Aquarium Village, let's see where we stand with order amounts and availability. If you pm me your order, be as specific as you need to be, I will put it together and reach out to Rich at AV and see about availability. Once I confirm availability I will accept payment, no pay no bulb. We can discuss options down the road. Thanks

I've only gotten one response for the discount from Aquarium Village. Is anyone else interested? Is their more interest in the Group Buy from ReefGeek? I'm trying to get a feel for what the group would like. Please PM and let me know which offer you prefer. If you want to go with AV offer please send me your order so I can work with AV on availability. The prices are the same as ReefGeek. Thanks

I'll go with either. But how is it goin to work with paying av? We can't just go there and get them?

I definitely need new bulbs, but I'd like to know the price before committing. Can we find out? For MH, i have 2 250 watt, single end bulbs, one 400 watt, double end. And I need a bunch to T5's

So here is what Aquarium Village will do for us as a club:
Provide a 30% discount for ATI and Giesemann T5 bulbs ONLY, no other discounts will be provided unless we buy a significant number of bulbs 36+, this includes MH and CF.
The pricing is MAP (Minimum advertised pricing) so you can see the prices on any internet web site and get a pretty good idea of the price. I compared Reef Geek to Marine Depot and found the pricing almost identical with a couple of exceptions that reflected $1.00 difference, however with the 30% discount being offered by AV, the price of the bulb was less using the higher price with the additional discount plus .0862% sales tax.
Aquarium Village will require I organize the orders, place it as one order and make one payment. This means I need to collect individual orders, collect payment, (my paypal, money order, cash) and then pick up the order and distribute. I live in Holbrook and I'm willing to bring orders to a central location. Remember we have no April meeting.
While I am willing to do all of the above the one thing I'm not willing to do is to chase people for orders, payment or delivery. I'm willing to do the work but cooperation and timeliness will be key. If anyone has any questions please let me know.
I would like to begin taking orders next Monday 3/10, you can send it by e-mail (jwill275@msn.com) or pm on reef central. If I don't get enough interest I will cancel the Aquarium Village GroupBuy next Friday, 3/14
