Hey just thought i would make a thread for this new group order. Butch and I are going to be handling this group order through Dr. Mac again so i figured i would designate a thread just for it.

From what i understand we dont have a set date yet because we would like to jump on any new and crazy stuff that they update.

If your interested and see something you like just put what its going to be down. When we decide on a final day for ordering what will happen is Kevin or myself will call drmac and get everything set up. What you will then do is individually call and place your order and pay seperately at that time. Tell them your with the Kevin Butcher order and they will add your order to our box.

They are great with how they package stuff also. They will write your name on the bag, and include a seperate receipt for all of us.

Let us know if you have any questions. Pickup will be the same day as delivery.

chris is there a site that has sweet corals and has some good inverts??

well I've been looking, its tough to find a full variety. Most of the time inverts end up being no cheaper than a LFS. I'd say call Dr. MAc tomorrow and ask when they are going to post the Dirty stuff, and then tell them when people call for the butchers order to hold it? see how long they can hold stuff, I think its 3 days. So maybe we could all order from tomorrow up till Tuesday or something?

oh ok sounds good im sure they would be good with it....

i saw some pretty nice arco in there.....but my tank wont hold those.

but man if chris bought one of those babies we SURE WOULD GET free shipping....

i would like to get a blood shrimp so the coral selection doesnt matter to me unless there are some really cool zoas....

Has any one seen pistol shrimp at any lfs down there lately? I don't want the group buy hinging on what site to chose simply if they have pistol shrimp or not.

I hate to do this as it seems about every month some one is asking about this. But I'm going to get a water heater tomorrow in the springs and have never been to a lfs there yet. What are the main 2 or 3 I need to see?

ok so i just heard that blood shrimp like to much on clams....true????????? if so im not going to get one. I like my clams a heck of alot more so i was just wondering if this is true???

All cleaners weather shrimp or fish tend to nip at clam mantles sometimes, they are simply cleaning but the clam gets ****ed and closes. And we know nobody likes a closed clam.

Do they have any high end Acro's?? I was just looking on there and did see anything to great for acro's. Did I miss a page? I know in their catalog they have a few sweet acros.

I have 2 blood shrimp and have never seen either touch my clams. In fact, I hardly ever see them at all! LOL

That bottle brush is incredible, I wonder if it does "glow" in the dark.

When I had shrimp and clams I never saw them picking on any clams. Can't say the same thing for the cleaner wrasse.

Yeah a wrasse is going to be worse, they are more active and starve to death sooner than a cleaner shrimp so that's why they would be rare to pick on a clam, but you never know.

I think those bottle brush are pretty neat Dan, maybe we could cut it in 2 pieces? would be cheaper that way, what do you think?
I can order it and you pay me later, I'll frag it here and keep it till your ready?

Actually mine would happily eat frozen food right out of your fingers. That was how I knew he was getting enought to eat. Becasue of its small mouth it had to orentate just right to get a floating mysis shrimp and before that happened a fairy wrasse would snag it. But he could tear bite size chunks from the frozen cube. At the same time his actions would break the cube up for the other fish.
