Not a mushroom. Looks like a species of Acetabularia algae to me. Not sure exactly which species, but the most common one, acetabularia acetabulum, looks like this:
The common name for it is "mermaid's cup," umbrella algae, mermaid's parasol. It's non-invasive, and quite delicate, so I wouldn't foresee it growing out of control in your tank.
The only places I've seen it growing naturally is very shallow water, mostly less then a foot and the best growths have been in only a few inches. I've had some come in with sea grass, but it's never done well. If that one grows ands spreads well in your tank, you'll have a bunch of us wanting some
