Due to being approached by a few fellow reefers about this Idea that I had a few weeks back. I came up with another idea to improve on the previous grow out trade scenario. This new style could potentially net anyone interested 20+ frags coming back their way without any cost coming out of their pocket. Sooooo, if you are still interested read on. Idea is to start this thing rolling by the end of this month. The grow out would go on until the Christmas party, that's 8 months away. The grow out trade can include anything you guys want to consider for trades. Zoas, sps, and lps. Trade can be anywhere from 1 frag to what ever amount you guys want to trade, provided you have enough room in your tank to hold all the promised frags. Ex. I have 5 frags that I want to trade in the grow out. Each frag I could guarantee to 2 different people, that would get me back 10 frags from those people in the end. But I would also have to shell out 10 frags of my own from the 5 original frags. If you have 1 frag that you can guarantee 1 person, then that is fine also. As long as there is someone out there that want what you have to offer. I will have things in increments from 0-$5, 6-10, 11-15, 20-25, and 30-whatever. So frags of what you guys want to offer could range anywhere in that category, that way anyone willing to participate would not miss out. In the spirit of the hobby and to try to get everyone involved, I would like no money transaction to trade hands. Just frags of corals. All ideas to improve on this would be greatly appreciated. And towards the end of the month, all that are willing to participate would post up what they have that they are willing to include in the trade in the certain price category. Anyone who wants to trade for those items would PM the person and work it out with them. Each individual would be responsible for creating their own list and updating it with pictures from time to time.
So like I said, you do not have to have expensive corals to participate in this grow out trade. The trade will not take place until 7-8 months from now, which gives those things plenty of time to grow out. And you could potentially get back 20+ frags if you are up to it. Everyone who want to participate does not have to be a member of C-sea. As long as you can make it to the Christmas party, you can get in on this. If any of the officer's of C-sea read this and think I am out of line, please PM me and I will close this thread. As I have never been to a Christmas party hosted by C-sea, so I do not know if you have to be a member to attend or not.
