looks great to me...

care to give a few more details about the lighting, how many bulbs, and what kind (and order)? Tanks looks great. (also tank size)

The tank is a 120g. Bulbs combination are below. The biggest difference I notice in growth and color was when I switched from using ATI Purple Plus and ATI Aqua Blue Special to KZ Fiji Purple and the KZ NG Coral light. They cost a little more, but made a huge difference.

FRONT:
ATI Blue Plus T5 HO Fluorescent
KZ Fiji Purple T5 HO Fluorescent
ATI Blue Plus T5 HO Fluores54W
GE 6500K Daylight T5 HO Fluorescentcent
ATI Blue Plus T5 HO Fluores54W
KZ New Generation 14000K T5 HO Fluorescent
ATI Blue Plus T5 HO Fluores54W
ATI Blue Plus T5 HO Fluores54W

ahhh...I see you walk on the blue side as well.

I have a 6 bulb ATI PM and I run 5 B+. The only other bulb I use is the ATI purple plus. I've been contemplating using a second Non-Blue blub, but with just the one p+ it's almost too white for me and not blue enough. So I'm on the fence still (have been for 2 years) as to weather or not to switch and see if I get faster growth...but I hate to sacrafice color.

time will tell cause it's about time for me to upgrade all the bulbs again soon.

again love the tank...keep us posted with more pics. (and close ups if you got any)

How high is your PM off of the water surface?

It is about 8" off the water surface. I run the dusk/dawn light for 10 hours and full for 5 hours daily. The dusk/dawn bulbs are the blue + and KZ New Generation. I feel that the growth is better with this dusk/dawn combo than with most people going with blue + and purple plus.

Wow, your tank looks beautiful. Do you mind sharing what equipment you run/ water parameters?

Thanks!

Great tank! i can only hope to get that kind of growth out of my t-5 setup... completely off topic, i have to ask where did you get that poster above the tank... i want one!

Disneyland. There are a few stores inside or you can also get it from downtown Disney. It's a custom order where you choose the size and border. Disney deliver it to your house. There's a few to choose from the Finding Nemo theme.

Any idea what your PAR levels are? I have a 8x80 ATI SP over a 60"x22"x18" (LWH) and had PAR of 550 8" below the surface when the light was 14" Above Water Level. Since I run a ZEO tank, I raised my light to 18" AWL to achieve a PAR level of 400 at the same spot. Also shortened the light level to 6 hours all on from 8 hours. I had some really pale colors with little growth. Hopefully I can get color similar to your tank.

Thanks,
James

Live rook look clean and your corals grow very fast , any secrets ?

My corals were strugging for a couple of years to grow and color up until recently. For me, the key was to stay consistent with a schedule. I change 10% of the water every week, blow anything I can off the rocks during the water change and do a vaccum of the sand bed a couple of times a months during the water change. Keep the sump clean. I bought a shop vac from Home Depot to make the task much easier. The skimmer cup and filter socks are changed and cleaned once a week.

Impressive growth, most of my corals still end up looking like that little nub of a frag in the middle of the tank after 5 months.

Do you still have the regal? Can't see many fish in the May 4 picture, how many do you have?

Great tank.

It's kind of shameful, but I am over stocked. Trying to convince my wife to let me do a 300 gallon peninsula by next year. I took the pictures at night, so most of the fish are not out. Here's the list:

5 Bartlett Anthias
2 Picasso Clowns
1 Regal Angel
1 Goldflake Angel
1 Coral Beauty Angel
2 Hawaiian Flame Wrasses
1 Hippo Tang

A few pictures of the corals.
