My second coral ever is my peach Millepora. I've had it almost a year now, which is remarkable considering that was my first year of coral husbandry. If I knew then what I know now I bet it would be doing way better.
Here it was 11 months ago. This photo blows. Notice how nothing is sharp and you can't see jack for polyp detail. That's because I was shooting down on it and not straight through the glass!
And here it is now. Yes, that is a giant nasty scratch on my glass. I had to pull the camera back 3-4 feet from the tank to get the whole Millepora in the shot, so scratches are much more apparent than when the lens is about up to the glass.
