You see, i got home from work today and he was throwing sand like crazy from behind the rock seen in the photo. He would pick up sand in his mouth, one big or a few small ones and toss them. It sorta looked like a dragon goby in reverse.
He has never done this before. Normally, I would say this is pre-mating behavior. But since I have always read and been told that GSM operate a little differently, I am curious to what you guys think.

They have been "kissing" consistently for a year now when i first got them.

They were moved from there temporary 20g tank to this monster 215g tank a few months ago. Since then, they spent a lot of time apart. This lead to believe they were not bonding. They did, however, take time out of their day to "date" which I have read about. They would then separate. I am not talking a few inches, im talking a few feet.

Can i expect eggs, or mostly trouble? lol. The female "Big Red" is WC and the male is CB from SWF

I saw that vid before. My female used to do that with the pvc in my qt tank. they instantly took to eachother, no biting, bickering, attacking. I put the little guy in a two liter bottle that he escaped from. I thought id find him dead but she feel in love instantly.

The female of my GSM pair has dug huge holes in the sand of my tank. It clouds the water and drives me crazy. Worse still, she does it with her tail fin, and as a result her tail fin is all torn up. I add Selcon to her food and just when it starts to heal, she does it again and tears her tail fin again.

I got an RBTA recently and she and her mate took to it right away. I thought the problem was solved, until I saw her start to dig another hole in the sand just outside the cave where the RBTA planted its foot. Arrghh!
