GSM pairing

I recently get a 1 in GSM to pair with my 3 female, I isolate them using a specimen container for few days before release it to the tank. Now they don't fight but each sleep in its own RBTA, it is paired or it will over time. I'm glad they don't fight.

how many days esactly...? right now i'm trying to pair up two maroons...my female is 3.5" and the other is .75" almost an inch...

he's in a specimen container right now near the BTA... but she keeps pushing and shoving the container away aggressively... he's been in there since yesterday... how long did it take you...?

I keep the new male? in the specimen container for 5 days. At first the female is very aggressive toward the new GSM but slowly ignore him.

They are sleeping in the same rbta now but still does not swim together all the time.

My maroons took close to a month to bond.

I put a tiny .75" clown in with my 3" gsm. No breeder box or anything. She chased and nipped at him for all of about 5 minutes, then largely ignored him unless he got close the gbta and rbta. Even then, she would only chase him away without biting. It took a couple days before she let him host. I figure if she hasn't killed or injured him yet, she's not going to. The only aggresive behavior I've observed is her swimming up fast to him, and he does the submissive seizure. I'm thinking I got lucky pairing them, after reading on here iwas a bundle of nerves about attempting a pair.
