Thanks dude, I really love montis, in fact I'd love to turn this tank into a monti/ LPS only tank and setup another 75g with all the acros.

That would be pretty cool. I have the most common monti(red monte cap) and a green encrusting monti. Looking for something cool like a Rainbow monti or Sunset monti. You live in Ohio correct? Maybe I could buy a frag from you sometime.

Could those unique encrusting montis survive around 10 inches down from 4 x 54watt T5s without individual reflectors?

Not in Ohio anymore, I moved to northern Virginia in October. I think most montis would do ok under those lights.
