GSP turned into PSP

Hey,

I been watching my GSP growth and found the past 2'' that have grown are now Purple Start Polys. What happend lol. I fragged it and sure nuff its staying purple. Is this normal? Thanks alot. Ill get pics soon.

Brian, I observe this lack of coloration with new growth areas on my GSP too. I believe the tips grow first and lack color (your observed purple). Then they begin to accept new zooxathellae and fluoresce green. LMK if this happens, or if they just remain purple. I am curiuos to know the result. Post some pics too.

It has to do with lighting (spectrum in particular). Or just crappy GSP stock...hehe.

i noticed mine changed from green (under 175w 20k halides) to pinkish/purple when moved under 2x65w power compacts
