Thanks. Yes, it seems to me that sps in particular are sensitive to those shifts. In my experience, they seem to be more stressed by the drops in p than increase but clearly each shift requires an adaptation by the coral.

Tom, would you tell me what ATP stands for and what protein phosphorylation is, please?
My corals suffered terribly when my PO4 zeroed! They turn pale, STN from tips, just stopped growing too.
If I had not been monitoring as well as I do I would have completely missed it! I added some Seachem Florish Phosphorus and now it's about .08 and things are doing much better. It will take time but I expect a full recovery.
