For the first time ever, I saw H comes at the LFS. The store told me that it was CB but the big size and cheap prize told me otherwise. Still, I was going to get it but later when it refused to eat I convinced myself not to.
That was really hard :(

that was a good choice you made. that SH appears to be in one of the best LFS setups i've seen for SH, and if it isn't eating there, it probably won't eat for you either. i know it's tuff.

there HAVE been some true CB comes around (IIRC, ORA was the source), but the others have been the net-pen specimens which have been pretty hit-or-miss in terms of longevity.

It was a nice setup. but i doubt the pod population is anywhere near it needed to be. And they apparently (the girl in the fish room said so) only feed the horses brine shrimp and only once a day or two at best.

If this were a Cb, IF, then the LFS would have some care instructions for it, and not the crap that was told to you.

Ok guys, I have a LFS near me with some H. Comes eating frozen mysis. PM me if interested. I need to find out prices and such, but last time he was asking $50 each. I'm willing to ship if you cover the shipping and prepay the SH.

Then you should have gotten them. They are hard to come by. Especially eating frozen mysis, healthy and robust, as these are.

they weren't eating (see first post), which suggests (along with the price) that the SH in question are either WC or maricultured in net pens. the size of the SH leads me to believe it may be WC.

either way, the SH would need to be treated prophylactically for parasites as well as trained to frozen mysis (if they can be trained). otherwise, one needs to be prepared to offer suitable live food for its life.

Yeah, he looked OK at the time but was not eating- too many risks I think. Some people have the equipment, experience, and medication on hand to nurse a horse like that back to good health but I don't.
