H. Mag and Eggcrate

My H. Mag is delivering tomorrow. My question is, is Eggcrate a sufficient platform for it to live on in QT or do I need to find something better, or just let it be on the bottom glass? QT is 20g long, with HOB filter, heater, 425 power head, and Radion XR15.

I placed mine on a upside down coffee mug.

Mags like flat surfaces. I don't think they'll like eggcrate and will most likely attach to the side of the tank instead. I've used coffee mugs as well, and they work great because you can move them around. For mags, even a plate will work. Others have used plastic strainers or colanders but I like being able to see the nem from the side.

That's right, I remember reading about the coffee mugs. Quick question on that note, are we going for the rougher not glossed ceramic bottom, the glossed ceramic bottom, or am I over thinking things and it doesn't matter?

It doesn't matter, just needs to be flat.

I always just use a flat piece of rock. Not likely to be a 'carrier' of antibiotics, and I just don't like peeling a just-recovered anemone off anything.

I like mine on the bottom of glass. Easy to scrape off when done treating.

I used a coffee cup, with a double espresso for me.
