H. Mag,, Healthy?

I ran across this locally at a price that would make some peoples eyes pop out. It is about 14" across has been in my tank for several days and looks very healthy. I have not tried to feed it yet as I want to let it settle in. It moved once when i first put it into the tank to its current spot and has not moved since.
its about 8" from the surface under 300w T5s and an 18" sun tube. and has a couple of vortecs providing some nice back and forth current.. Im keeping my fingers crossed

I'd say it looks "ok". Looks like its nicely inflated and mouth is decent, but I get worried when I see how paper-thin - almost translucent - the flesh is getting.

I noticed that too. I took the pic when the sun was almost shinning through it from the other side I wonder if this has anything to do with it. it does hwever have a little less color on the oral disk than I would like to see. hopefully this will change as it settles into its new home

I'm a little bit worried about it. Everything seems fine now, I just have a feeling by looking at it that it may begin digressing health soon. Best of luck. Try not to feed it anything for a while. Have you treated it with any medications?
