I was looking a the ritteris on LA and was wondering if there is a difference in the survival rate, color or quality based on where the nem is harvested? They are seperated out based on the country of origin. Just curious as to why.

I have seen many photos of all sorts of mag colors from various parts of Indonesia and the Maldives (near Sri Lanka). A lot of red based mags come out of Africa although they vary in intensity.

To answer your question... Though there are differences in color morphs between locations, I am not aware of any other major differences - i.e. survival rate, quality, etc. As with all anemones, the quicker you can get them from the ocean into your tank, the better. Therefore some locations that are more remote, and require numerous steps along the distribution chain, may ultimately get a bad rap for livestock that comes in stressed. This is the fault of the distribution channel and not the fault of the livestock...

I know location matters with other animals as to survivability, wasn't sure about anemones.
