H. Magnifica question

Are there different color variations for H. Magnifica? Or are they all around the same color.

Also unfortunately there are no descent LFS within 50 miles of me so if anybody can suggest a good reputable online retailer where I can pick up a healthy one.

Online source to buy magnificas, Liveaquaria and bloozoo have them in sometimes. To get colorful ones, good luck, you and the rest of the nem heads on reef central including my self are always looking for colorful ones like vultures.

A simple google search of magnifica sea anemone results in hundreds of pictures of different color variations, more than I could post in any reasonable time on here.

The normal color you will see is tan base, tan/brown tentacles, white tips.

Harder to find, purple base, and or green/yellow tipped tentacles

Hard to find still, red base, and or purple tentacles, pink or green/yellow tips

Do a search on H. magnifica. There was a thread on Magnifica show off recently. There were some eye candies in that thread.

MO Magnifica is not a good source. Most will not make it unless you are prepare to treat your Magnifica on arrival or when he start to get sick. I have never successfully get a Magnifica or Gigantea MO
