That's cool :) The Haddoni looks very promising, for the gig it's too soon to say as they take much longer to fully acclimate. You got your hands full just in time for Christmas ;)

It's the store on Century blvd near LAX. don't know what they call themselves nowadays. They are undergoing 2nd or 3rd change of management and re-branding. It's in the same area as sea dwelling creatures and quality marine. They have 3 or 4 of this color.

I've been there a few times on my random gig hunts ;) They usually don't have anemones, but they occasionally bring some interesting ones from time to time. As far as I have been told they don't use wholesalers, but import direct from the source country.
Their livestock is generally very nice, but they cater mostly to people with big tanks as the majority of their fish are for 100-150g +.

Lot of LPS are huge and healthy.

Yup that should keep me busy :)
the haddoni was going to be my last and only anemone but then i saw the gig. It was very sticky and cheap ($25). So I went for it. Haha.

Nice pick up. I believe I just grabbed one for 25 bucks as well. I'm not 100% it's a gig I'm waiting on a ID in another thread. But back to your original question. That Mag is A Stunner. I love mine but it's nothing compared to the coloration of that one. I'd say if it's got a tight mouth and it's very sticky then go for it. In my experience if a Mag is sick to the point it's not going to make it then it would decline rapidly. If its looking crappy for a week or more than I'm guessing poor tank conditions.

All very nice. How people don't agree that Southern CA have all the nice anemones is beyond me.
I love that Magnifica. Magnifica seem to response to treatment much better than Gigantea.

Thanks. I decided to wait a little more before buying a Mag to see how my Gig settles in. It accidentally got caught in a half-inch tube when I was siphoning the sand bed in my tank. To my surprise the gig is still very sticky. Since it had detached during siphoning, I placed the gig up higher on the rocks for more flow and light. It has been in my tank for 5 days now.
