H. Magnifica - Strange Tentacle Growth

I've had this Mag for about 3 months. It has always been healthy and getting bigger and healthier all along. About a month back I noticed that it is either growing or losing tentacles. And then I noticed that some of these aren't regular tentacles. Has anyone ever seen this, and does anyone know what is going on here?

Are you referring to the shorter tentacles? That is him growing new tentacles. When mine decided to have a close look at the inside of an MP40 he had half a buzz cut for awhile...

Ok, that's cool. I am specifically wondering about that big lump, roughly 4 times the size of a regular tentacle, but short like the new tentacles.

Mine has some of the short/new tentacles... No big lumpy ones though...

LOL, gee thanks! Yea my purple one has a few of the short ones too, but none of the funny fat ones like in the middle of the pic. That's why it drew my attention. It's been like that for a couple weeks. It looks kinda like a paw or rubber glove minus the fingers. I guess I'm just wondering what it's gonna turn into.
