I've got three malus in my tank. The first had been in a LFS tank for about two months and was attached to the base of the tank. Within an hour of placing it in my tank it had attached. The other two, both bought on separate occasions, had been in the LFS for a week or so and hadn't attached. I placed them in a low flow area of my tank next to some rocks. I was a little concerned and checked them every couple of days or so and it took them both over a month to finally sink their foot through the sand and attach. All throughout this period neither would feed and it was only after they had finally attached did either take a few bits of food. So as long as they seem otherwise happy enough, it may just be a waiting game.
