H&S vs Bubble King Mini

They said,it would cost 9 times more to make the deltec skimmers out of cast acrylic, but the price tag on the skimmers is that of somthing made out of cast,so that =ripoff.DeltecRules what would brack if you ran over with your car,ABS or PVC?I don't know what people see in Deltec.

Okay, so let's talk "ripoff". We'll compare a deltec 851 to an ER RC250 - both 8x30 Eheim powered skimmers.

The cost difference is about 17%, 998.00 to 1,190 = wow, that's huge

Do I see uni-seals on the ER? Yikes, that's cheap. What's that, zip ties around the outflow pipe? Again cheap. Still can't master the twist lock flange?

Point? Simple, a skimmer sits in one place and removes waste - both of them will perform the job. The exact construction matters little in any real world application - they are both built well enough to last indefinately (with any care).

Pumps & overall design efficiency are the heart of the matter.

I would much rather have H&S or Euroreef over deltec.I would much rather have uni seal and zip ties. The Eurolock on my RC135 works great.

i own a bubble king, my 2 buddies, one owns a deltec and the other owns a h&s

they are both happy with what they own-- to each his own

i like the bubble king for its size and power use

i own a h&s and a deltec

I have owned 2 H&S and currently own a 300Int. BK. When I get the itch to replace this I will definitely go back to a H&S A250 2x1260. Much better customer support.

A little over a year ago I was in the same predicament of trying to find the right skimmer for my 210. I ended up choosing H & S because of the way it was built and replacement parts are very easily obtained and relatively inexpensive. In addition to that the Eheim pump will last you a million years.

I've had every other brand skimmer discussed in this thread except a BK and H & S is the one that makes me happy :-)

You can check out my gallery for pics of the 200-1260. By the way it pulls in 900 LPH of air fully open, which is the way I run it.
