I got my Powder Brown Tang today!! i LOVE this fish! he started swimming around my 30g quarantine like he owned the place as soon as i let him out of the bag! he's already eating like a horse, too. still a little shy when i walk up to the tank, but i only have to back up about 5 feet before he comes back out. my old Tomini hid whenever i was in a mile radius of the stupid thing.

the colors are AWESOME! really cool looking fish. i'll try and post some pics in the near future.
can you tell i'm really excited about this little guy? well, he's not so little, he's a good 5" already.
i named him Blotto :)

would it be a good idea to throw this guy into hyposalinity? he shows no signs of ich, so i don't think i will. just wondering if it's a good idea.

also, are the powder browns as susceptible to ich as a powder blue?

That's cool, when I had one it ate pellets while in the acclimation bag (yes I was curious if it would eat since it was grazing on the bag while it sat there). Very hardy fish IME.

You mentioned a tomini, did it ever eat anything you provided other than the live rock to graze on?

yeah, my old tomini ate anything i put in the tank. it was a cool looking fish, just way too shy. i had it for quite a while and it hid from me the entire time i had it. i ended up selling it to a friend.
