I need some help moving a large aquarium from Maryville to my apartment... calling in favors and creating IOUs.
Glass tank (72" x 24" x 30") stand, canopy, crushed coral, and large filter.
3 strong-backed gentlemen plus myself should do the trick.
It's not far to carry - probably not more than 20' from tank to truck at pickup and about 30' from truck to setup location here at my apartment. No stairs. Drive is about 35 minutes.
Should be about 2 hours total of your time, and I'm hoping to pick it up Sunday at 5 or Monday evening.
Please PM or call me if you can help... thanks peeps!

It is indeed in full motion. Phase II is the bigger SW tank for soft corals and macroalgae, but it will be a few months.

RIP 75g...

it only took 2 people to carry my 180 rr me and my wife did it. should be much more. what is that a 220?

Isn't your tank acrylic?

When I got my glass 125g, it was about all a friend and I could carry. ...well, then again, we did leave the sand in it for the move. :lmao:

wow...gorgeous fw tank! dont know if it would help or not but remember eddie has those tank mover suction cup thinks

God help you if it is glass. When I moved my 220, glass, there were 4 guys including myself. I somehow ended up with me on one side and the other 3 guys on the other end. To top it off, after everyone had left I realized that I had it running parallel with the joists and had to move the stand and tank to another wall by myself. Having moved one, I honestly wouldn't trust the glass movers on something so big, even for 20' - 30'. I have to be in lake city at 4 to acquire some lr,ls and fish and don't see any way I could make it back and transfer the stuff in time to meet you at 5. I could possibly do it later or on Monday if it's early Monday, I have to be packed and headed out the door by 3 on Monday.

It's glass and it's a beast, probably 250 pounds. I just moved my BIL's 125g last weekend he and I, and that wasn't that bad, but this 210g is nearly twice the size AND twice as thick of glass.

Travis, the stock in that tank are going into this one, and that 75g will become a paludarium.

Thanks Dana! Yeah, but he said the suction cup handles aren't very useful for transporting a tank.

Thanks Scott and bluestarfish; I wish you could help too! :D
(Sorry, for not being able to recall your real name for the life of me, bsf! :(

I'll be leaving here tomorrow night (Monday) at 6 to pick it up. Still need one more person - free cookies!

Olivia, I'm afraid moving a 24g merits only a vanilla wafer.

best,
Joel
