haddoni carpet anemones at petco

The new petco in Roseville (Hwy 65 and Blue Oaks) just got in 4 carpet anemones that range in size from 6" to the biggest at around 13". All look healthy and are a light green in color. The cost is only 34.99. I just bought one that is about 10" big.

get them while the tanks are new. As we all know ick will soon be there. BTW the assistant manager of that store is a reefer, and knows more than any other petco employee i've ever met. He's a younger looking guy with a goatee, can't remember his name even though i've talked to him many times and have some kenya frags from him.

wow.. and those require quite a bit of upkeep to keep alive, IIRC.. I am surprised that PetCo got any in. One of the employees at the one near us told me that they only get in "mainstream" SW fish (when I asked about peppermint shrimp or mandarins). I guess their policy may be changing ?

WHY SUPPORT PETCO? Find a reef shop!!! Buy from fellow reefers!!! This particular petco may have a knowledgeable person on staff, but most of them do NOT! I personally think petco shouldn't be able to sell any fish. fresh or salt.
Sorry, I just can stand that chain of stores.

I agree saltycreefer, but this is America. They can do what they want, same as you and me. Don't support them, eventually they will realize that it's not worth it to continue selling fish. But until this country sees and hears what they are doing, the uneducated will continue to buy their stuff.
