Haddoni moved into pure shade..

Hey guys. Just wanted to see what I should do in this situation. My baby Haddoni moved from his normal semi shaded spot down to pure darkness. It's sitting under a rock roof. Anemone is healthy. Been in my tank for over a month. I think it moved due to a recent drop in Alk. Went from 9.3 to 7.9. I'm not 100% sure but there's no other changes made.

It's been down there for a week now. When should I intervene and pull it myself? I had this situation happen twice before. 2 small RBTA moved into complete darkness. I let them be, hoping they would move out themselves. Both RBTA died after 2 months in complete shade.

hmmm.. now that you mentioned it. I took out the Gyre to pry out a tiny snail. Put it back at it's old spot, but could be a tiny bit off..

thanks! I will wait another week. I'll check back in if he doesn't move

After reading your original post one more time I realized it's been there a week already. I recommend lowering the flow a little bit. That should make it want to come out. Good luck!

I would do aqua scape change and get him out to the light, not full light but get him back out and he can take it from there.
That is a very nice green Haddoni

Thank you. It moved again but not in a good direction. It's going further back with no lights. I'll rescape the rocks saturday during water change.

Flow was reduced from 50% to 40%

I re-arranged all my rock works.. he's out now in a semi shaded area. Attached to a rock halfway in sand
