haddoni shriveled up?

this morning i noticed my haddonni carpet was sucked way in. It has done this in the past but usually comes out later in the day, well it stayed like this all day there are two things that have happened my salinity is 1.0245 instead of 1.026 due to adding too much top off and it had an urchin in it yesterday that i dug off of it but this all happened yesterday and has happened in the past, anyone with exp. with these please let me know the cause and if i should be worried. The nem has been in there for 8 years

I'm not an expert but it sounds like a combination of the salinity change and the urchin aggravating the 'Nem.
One time I had a snail get consumed by my haddons and it shriveled up a bit for a few hours, but it went back to normal after a whole.

How is it doing today?

it has opened up today but is deflated and mouth open like its pooping. its about half of its normal size it may have eaten the urchin or something. I say a slimy thing floating nearby that fish were chewing on. I don't want anything bad to happen to it its part of the family you know?

update i pooped out my abalone shell oh well at least the nems ok
