Haddoni Spawn questions.

I have had my green Haddoni anemone for almost 1 yr, I know he has spawned 2 time before, but much smaller events. Well last night my kids slept in the same room as the fish tank (we are remolding our house) and the moon lights were bright, so I turned them off. This morning when I came in the tank was, and still is very cloudy.

I think my nem spawned again but much more this time. Is there any risk to my other tank inhabitance? I have my skimmer running very wet, should I add some carbon and do a water change.

Also who has a female haddoni, we should hook them up.

Thanks,
Aaron

water change and carbon rinsed very well in rodi and you should be ok
keep skimming wet and watch your SG. as it tends to dip when skimming wet.

55semireef and GSMguy,

First off thanks for the help.
I think everything is in good order. I did a 35g water change and added a bag of carbon to the system. BTW, 35g is a lot of H2O!
This morning the tank looks clear again, and every one seams no worse for the ware. One thing I did notice, when I did the water change, both nems deflated down to almost nothing. My Haddoni that is 12" across became no bigger than 1.5" across. I did not think they could shrink that much.

Thanks again, and if any one has a lead on a girl haddoni, my man is lonely.

GMSGuy,
your algae may have gone sexual as well? i know that can happen. not sure what it looks like

I am not sure what to look for in that case???? I did prune a lot of it back when I did the water change.

Thanks,
Aaron

When algae go sexual, they turn white then melted away. If your algae still green and no change, then it did not go sexual. Basically when this happen, the algae convert all of their mass into spores.

?"Both nem"?
Do you have two Haddoni? I know that somebody have a female and looking for a male. I think Dr. Ron is looking for a male, at least he was several years ago.

Orion,

I have one Haddoni and one M. Dorensa sp? that my false percs refuse to host. And yes I know they are not a natural host. If there is some one who is looking for a make Haddoni, let them know and we will see if we can work something out.

Thanks,
Aaron
