Haddoni won't attach

i've had a new Haddoni for about a week now, and it still hasn't attached. Just looking for any advice/pointers. I created a depression in the 2-3" sand bed next to rocks, and it's been just sitting there. It looks healthy, is sticky, and I've got the tank flow dialed down so that it won't get blown around. Don't see any obvious signs of damage to the foot, but when I've looked at it there is always some sand stuck on it obscuring some of it. Any ideas?

They really need to attach to something and use that to force their foot into the sand. It is very hard for them to dig into the sand without attach to something first.
I would use a smooth, concave rock and put it on top of the foot of the anemone. Smooth so that it will not injure the anemone, and concave to fit the foot of the anemone right into the grove. Once it is attached, a healthy Haddoni will not have any problem dig into the place that he like

Thanks for the reply Minh. So, the rock goes on top of the foot to put weight on it, is that right?

Yes. If you wedge the foot of the anemone between the rock and the sand, the anemone will attach to the rock and use it as leverage to push his foot into the sand.

+1. Also, how's your flow and light? Haddonis like low/medium flow and intense lighting.

Running a 105 gal with two Radion XR30 Pros - light is up high enough for my SPS, but will watch it for the haddoni. Flow is pretty low in the cover where the nem is hopefully attaching. Thanks for the info!

Mine wandered for about a month till he found his spot, now he stays put. He chose up on the rocks, but he's just a little guy.
