Hague RO/DI Unit

Okay, really need some input on this one.

There is a five stage filtration system that is set up at BF's house, but the filters haven't been changed in 3 years. Water flow is slow and haven't gotten the TDS tester yet.

Email Hague and they sent me a number for a local dealer.
$90 for service call and $150 for filters and another $100 for the membrane if it needs it.

This totaled is about the same for a new system that has more reasonable filter costs.

Should I get the new system, or keep the old with the pricey filters.

Yeah, looked online, couldn't find the filters anywhere.... ARGH! Such a dissapointment after a brief rush of finding an RO at his house.

I am not familiar with that unit or it's efficiency but that sounds like a lot of money to replace cartridges. Especially considering you can purchase a brand new unit for less than $180. Check out one of our sponsers in regards to filter replacement. I am sure it will be much cheaper.

I know it is cheaper, I was wondering if anybody had a Hague unit that can testify to the expense of the system.
