Hair Algae and Temperature?

I'm running my tank around 81 degrees..i keep it a little high, so in the summer, it is used to these temps. I have a hair algae problem, would lowering the temp make a difference or insignificant....like to 78 for winter? BTW tank has lps and sps mainly, which i think would fair well at any temp around here. Thx

algae will grow a little quicker at warmer temps. Not enough for the couple of degree difference to make a real impact though.
