Hair algae nutritious?

I had a large outbreak of hair algae. Now under control except on my power heads and some spots on the back. Gone from the rock.

My Yellow tang seems to love the stuff and is stuffing himself. I also feed Nori on a clip and he eats that also.

Is hair algae nutritious? What come out of the fish seems to look like the hair algae that went in and I wonder if it is being effectively digested?

Don't know how nutritious it is but it more closely mimics what would be eaten in the wild so I would say it is a good thing all around
