hair algae problem

well I know I have to add a little to my clean up crew still running with what I had in it when I have the 10 set up but I have the protein skimmer and I only feed once every other day and I dont dose with anything. but I dont have any macro (I think only because I dont have a sump or anything to put it in)

Get an RO/DI like others said to help keep nutrients from building further. I'd check out airwaterice.com. Great company to deal with. In the meantime look into getting a sea hare. A bunch of folks in our club have had them make "real quick" work of hair algae. Best of luck!
