only 3 methods I am aware of:
1. eat it (snails and hermit crabs)
2. starve it (locate and eliminate the nutrients feeding the algae or add competing algae to refugium)
3. or scrub it off (this sucks and I'm too lazy to attempt this method)
I strongly recomend the first two combined. The third choice is the most work. Without #2 your problem will always return.
