Haitian pink tip

So i come home from work today and I'm missing my male clown. I have a haitian pink tip anemone that was hosting my clowns. I'm told this is uncommon but it happened in my tank. Anyway somebody recently told me to be careful because the anemone may eat one of my clowns if it is hungry enough. The body of the anemone is unusually large and the tentacle are fatter then normal. Has anybody heard of a haitian pink tip eating clowns?

I have heard of it.But never after the clowns were being hosted by the anemone.Mabey someone else can say.

I've looked in my tank very carefully to see if it is just hiding but can't see it. I've also looked in my sump just in case and still can't see it.

I've seen a long tentacle at a LFS in the midst of swallowing a pink skunk. The skunk's head was all I could see poking out of the anemone's mouth.

My magnificent ate my sohal tang. It was 6-7 inches! The anemone sucked it dry and spit it back out. That was on expensive snack.

Cant really tell.If its roaming around they may be hungry Iv heard. But neve really know. Some peolpe say the tentecals will get longer to get food.Once they are full they will shorten the tentecals and go back to being a happy anemone like befor.Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the help and comments. One thing I will do is start feeding my anemones more often and hopefully they won't want to eay my fish.

How about tentecles become thinner?
Well when the tentecals extend the tentecals will also become thinner!
