Haitian Reef Anemone Dying?

I've had this anemone for approximatley 2 months and the color has changed from white with blue tips to a drab gray/ green color. I'm concerned about it dying and ruining the rest of my tank. I feed it twice a week a piece of shrimp. I'd rather remove it and not ruin the rest of my tank but am unsure if it's healthy or not.
Part of the problem could be it tried to move and got sucked into the intake of the skimmer for around 4-8 hrs. before I could rescue it, although it was still gray before then. The behavior seems normal- it opens and closes and has only moved 1 time since it got sucked into the skimmer intake.
any advice? Should I get rid of it?

The darker color is more probably due to it regaining some of it zooxanthelle which is a good thing. As long as it looks healthy you have nothing to worry about.
