i think reefermadness.us had one but it is gone now
We really have no clue on origin, requirements, toxicity, etc., it would be best to exercise a cautious approach with such specimens
Here's the info I am finding out about this one:
Not much is known about the anemone. I have searched high and low for more info but have been unable to find ANY! I did find these few items out:
1) It's a deep water anemone(Collected in 200 ft+ of water)
2) It seems to like lesser light but does fine under 400W Metal Halides(as they are in my display system now...)
3) It is not dyed(or so I was told from a reliable source that I trust)
4) Likes to be on the walls not in the sandbed
5) It hurts my eyes because it's so bright...
I'll post more info once it becomes available to me...

Do you know if it was collected in Ryukyus/Okinawa?
Has it been feeding?
Has it been moving around much?
Has it been open during the day, closed at night, etc.?

Don't know the exact location they were collected
They seem to be eating flake foods and whatever foods they can "catch"...
Hasn't move but 3-4" since I have received them...
Open during the day, don't know if it closes at night or not, I'll have to check on this this evening...
They are slightly under a ledge now and appear to be happy.

Not specifically, I'm just trying to get as much info as possible. Dr. Ron indicated that it may not be the 'real' name & asked if I could possibly get another name to call it by. I think it's just something not very many people have experience with. Regardless, it is a very cool little anemone. I love it when things like this come up out of nowhere. I personally truly enjoy the thrill of discovery & diversifying the life kept in the captive reef aquarium - especially if it's something we can get to reproduce in captivity. I also think it's amazing how negative the reactions can be from other hobbyists. I understand where this response comes from, but I'm sure glad to be given the opportunity to attempt something new. Thank you, Chad!
