Halichoeres chrysus

I was wondering how this fish's personality was and its reef-safeness. I see on liveaquaria that they list him under "with caution", yet his cousin Halichoeres biocellatus is listed under reef safe. will he bully new tankmates if I put him in before adding other fish?

what other fishes you gonna add? :)

thanks for the thread! I'm not sure yet, I am still compiling my list :) It's just so hard to decide and I like to hear of other's experiences rather than listening to a website like liveaquaria lol.

I think a definite on the list is the yellow eye kole tang and a tailspot blenny. Other than that I have others I am looking at such as mccoskers flasher wrasse, these 2 halichores wrasses, and some others. I'm just trying to make a final decision :)

depends on what new fish is introduced.

I would introduce Leopards and Tamarin Wrasses BEFORE any Halichoeres.
Skip adding any 6-line, 8-line 12-line etc. as they will destroy the others.

I'm afraid to do leopard wrasses :o Not only because it says difficult under their name, but they eat pods and I do have a green mandarin that is doing well. I don't want to mess with her diet.

I do spot feed her though... so tempting!! stop tempting me!! lol I would have a tank full of wrasses if it were up to me

Anyway, I was mainly concerned about other fish besides wrasses, such as blennies, gramma and such. I just want to make sure no one gets bullied. tangs will be last along with a possible angel.
