Hanna Instruments VS HM Instruments

I am hoping that Randy will pipe in on this one but any feedback will be appreciated!!

I have been looking at the Hanna Instruments Combo pH TDS Temp tester for some time now but some people are telling me to go with separate HM pH and TDS meters. I need some help with my decision!!! Also do I want the low range or the high range testers?

If you could post links to the actual models you're considering, we could help more. Hanna makes some nice instruments. I think HM does as well, but I don't know much about lab instruments.

I would agree with what you have been told. Hanna is really a cheap instrument company, especially when it comes to "pocket type" TDS and pH meters. The HM CO 100 TDS meter is unmatched for what it does. It will test both high and low range TDS ( not salt water). And the PH 200 is a very nice pH meter, with three point calibration and the ability to do fine tuning. The two will cost you ~ $ 130 and are worth very penny and are better quality and allow you to do more than any Hanna.
