Very interesting this year, b/c we have 2 New Year's Eve.

If you go with lunar calendar, that is the first day of the month is the day of the new moon arrives, then for this month, the new moon is on Sat 2/17.

This makes new year eve on friday.

If you look at Chinese calendar, you will notice that they only have 29 days for January.

Every January I recycle a joke when my coworkers say, "Happy New Year." I tell them "Happy American New Year!"
