Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Not just Chinese new year, but the Lunar New Year to be exact! Chuc mung nam moi (for all my fellow vietnamese haha).

Happy New Year to all.

Very interesting this year, b/c we have 2 New Year's Eve.

If you go with lunar calendar, that is the first day of the month is the day of the new moon arrives, then for this month, the new moon is on Sat 2/17.

This makes new year eve on friday.

Check out this website to see the moon phase

If you look at Chinese calendar, you will notice that they only have 29 days for January.

ok without trying to offend anyone.. although I probably will :)

How exactly is it a lunar new year because of the new moon? That pops up every 29 days?

Mike,

Google say, "The Lunar New Year begins on the first new moon of the new year." :)

Guess we could have New Month festival if you like :)

Every January I recycle a joke when my coworkers say, "Happy New Year." I tell them "Happy American New Year!" :)

Maybe we should name a coral after this year?

Golden Pig Zoos. GPZ, gotta get my hands on that...

Anyway, Happy New Year!

You know they'll have to charge you $88/per polyp for good luck, right? :)

Bad luck if you pay half price :)
