This is the one day where you fathers are SUPPOSED to be able to be lazy. be waited on hand and foot and lavished with nice gifts from the wife and kids.

Don't let this opportunity pass you by! You MUST milk this day for all it's worth.

If we hear of any father lifting a finger today, unless it's for your father, you will be hounded for the rest of your life or until your SLASH membership runs out.

I've already worked a free lunch out of my son using this, I don't want to give it back. Right now I am working on someone doing the dishes for me.

I woke up to my son bouncing on my chest. (Mental note - measure him again, the chest divots are feeling particularly deep). They took me out to breakfast - the real present was that they behaved themselves (4 year old boy and 7 year old girl). Boardwalk Cafe - Mediterranean omelet (eggs, gyros meat, tomatoes, green peppers and feta cheese), hash browns, wheat toast and tea.

My wife then took them both away and gave me a day all to myself. I cleaned the bathroom my way (toothbrush for the nooks, scouring pads, big scrubrushes, etc.) - was going to paint the woodwork but ran out of time. I powerwashed the deck but the ghost of Capo must have come over because the powerwasher blew a seal and started leaking all over. There was nothing left to do but make a giant pitcher of margaritas, grab a book on the history of Forest Park and make sure the hammock didn't try any shenanigans. I made it to 1901 (just keying up to get the World's Fair to St. Louis) and fell asleep. Woke up and the sun was hiding.

Surf and turf for dinner, put the kids to bed and finish the drawings for a fire and water fountain for a restaurant in California.

All in all a good day. If I could have painted the woodwork in the bathroom, it would have been better but there's always next weekend.
