One Happy Reefer
A year ago on May 23. 2010 the quote read
"Meet, chat, n swap
Hi everyone,
In the interest of everything reef, I will be hosting a meet & swap at my office on
SUNDAY MAY 23, 2010 @ 10AM.....

Please RSVP as my office waiting room holds about 20 people
Fee: a smile n your own coffee"

That morning I was still rushing to set up when George G. was the first to show up at the office. He helped me with the projector screen, then Staan, Noel, JCS and Jarrett and Anthony27 followed. All the smiles, the excitement of sharing a hobby that we all love so much. Mike (MotorTrendz, and Tomtooth came a little later too! Even Aquatic Life Direct was there family and all. YoungReef n BigLA showed up around 3pm then we took a road trip to ManhattanAquariums in my car.
So that's how and when it all started :)

I rember that, nice to see our first meeting, and look what we grew into. Old firends and some lost friends but all the same.

It is nice to see how far this club has come

Wow its been that long and to think I didn't even have a tank yet and didn't even know any of you and now I feel like most of you are better friends then most of my long time old friends I'm truly honored and glad to have met a great group of guys and gals like you all and join a true reef club like NY Reef Club

Geezzz it's been a year already!! I remember walking in that time and yelling I'm Home.... Your family must have thought I was nuts!!! LOL!!!
Anthony your really savoring that cheese doodle!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA...

Also Harry all I see is 1'' frags,,,,look how big they got ,,,LMAO
Also I know me and you never missed a meeting but who else been there from day 1?????

Happy first M&G anniversary guys.
I aslo want to give yous a big thank you for welcoming us to your personal place's to host such events.

I've been to every meeting except the tank tour (would have enjoyed it but the itinerary was too grueling for me).

I will also take credit for the photos. I remember Harry saying he didn't see me taking pictures -- there's no greater compliment for a candid photographer than that. Henri Cartier-Bresson, who essentially invented the genre of "street photography," used to put black tape all over his Leica (it was in the days before they made black camera bodies), and he never allowed a photo of himself to be published. Make yourself invisible! Which is a pretty good trick at my size! lol

LOL George, I remember that comment I made. Great pics!

I can't believe it's been a year... Im so glad I went to that first meeting, I was late but better late then never. I have met some real cool people. Thank you NYRC...

Can't believe it has been a year already!

So glad that I met all of you.

Dr. Harry, Noel, Jarrett, Antonio, Anthony, David, George this club would not be where it is today if it wasn't for you guys all pulling together and putting forth a cohesive effort.

Dr. Harry & Jarrett thank you for opening your doors to us all, without 2 staple venues, majority of our meetings would have never been possible!

I find my self chatting with all my reefing buddies more often than friends from other walks of life!

Thank you for such a great brotherhood NYRC...

I only wish our club continued success!!

From a guy that didn't quite get in on the ground floor.......
This is a great club, it's exactly what a reef club should be, IMO. Everyone I met in this club is in it for the hobby. I came in as an outsider. You welcomed me, and made me feel as if I belong. I hope NYRC stays the way it is.
