harlequin shrimp q-ton

I have a 125g with astrina starfish in it. If I stop removing every starfish I see (found one eatin my monti, went on a killin spree) do you think the tank can support the needs of a harlequin shrimp? I prefer not to need to supplement its diet.

p.s. I have 2 cleaner shrimp and 1 or two peppermints in the tank that get along great. I am also thinking of adding a sexy shrimp in hopes that it will like one of the thre bta I have.

I have a pair of harlequins in a 110. They wiped out the asterinas in my tank in less than 2 months. If you get a harlequin at some point you will definitely have to feed them, the asterinas will not last.

Sexy shrimp like to live in odd number groups three or more.

Ok. Do you think three sexy shrimp will do well?

Also, has anyone tried just one harlequin? Based on what MrRyan experienced, it looks like two are out of the question.

I had 1 HS in my 65 for over 2 years, almost 3. He just died a week or 2 ago. I fed him 1 small CC star every 5-6 weeks, after he wiped out the tiny stars. Which took 2 months because I had a ton of them. I never had a problem with him.

I think 1 in your tank will be even better.
