Harvest time.

Well after 6 years its time to harvest the goods. Some of the coral is over 30 years old.

Have a little trouble with branching hammer.

They were literally taking over the frogspawn.

Probably had a 100 heads break or fall off as the glass cleaner knocks the branches a part.

Its time for a tear down, so I can clean out the sand bed. The top layer has solidified, less the front where I can keep it stirred.

Can I assume the before and after pictures are switched? That is a ton of hammer corals. Very awesome.

Great looking tank!!! Do you have nitrates or P04 in the tank. Goes to show sometimes we are our own worst enemies  leave things be and they grow

Thank you.

Yes I do have N and P. Lots and it was also impacted by low PH.

Making changes to my system so its easier to manage. All though this was a no maintenance tank.

I'm 6 years into the sandbed, and when that was fresh I can keep GHA down.

What sort of changes other then sandbed?

Corey

I added a kalk reactor to a new ATO system.

redoing skimmer pumps. and probably adding a 200g mixing tank.

Just rebuilt my ro/di by adding extra di canister, extra membrane, and booster pump.

Then for the tank ill have to sell about 30% of the branching hammer to my local coral store [a member/sponsor here]
