harvesting cheato

When you guys remove cheato from a refugium, how much do you take out at a time. Im just wondering if I take out half at once will I have a nutrient spike cause it wont keep up?

When mine gets basketball sized, I pull out the oldest stuff until it is about softball sized. No you shouldn't have much of a nutrient spike.
