Has anyone here contact MAG pump tech support before??

I have problem with my mag 9.5 and I have been trying to contact them using the number on this website (http://www.dannermfg.com/). I can't get alive person. Left VM but they never call me back. Do you guy know if there is another number I can call??

It doesn't start up. Everything is clean inside. It only works when it's in the right position. I was holding it in the water last night and got shock ..

Sounds like a bad cable. Broken wire inside that makes intermittent contact, and failed insulation on top of all that.

Probably broken near where the cable goes into the pump? Was the cord flexed really tight or something?

Yeah I think a lose connection somewhere ... It must be inside the pump because it WILL ONLY work when it lays on the right side. I can't open up the pump. I would have to use my saw to get it open ..

Don't you just pry off the plastic cover on the back?

You'll just find it filled with epoxy or whatever it is that the use to embed the winding, right?

I'd expect the wire to be bad right near where it goes into the pump or the epoxy.

Are you sure?? I don't know... It looks like it sealed all the way around. ..

I will see if I can pry it off ..

yah the back pry off an the wire will expose.

Another way to test is to plug it in then put it in your sump or a bucket of water then stick your hand in there. If all the hairs on your body stands up, you have a cut wire. :lol:
