Has anyone tried the new LED light fixtures?

I'm betting (eventually) almost all of us will be using LED's sometime down the road. They certainly have proven they can put out extremely bright light from the Flashlight technology I have seen. I've already thrown out my old halogen flashlights.

Right now it's still prohibitively expensive, but the advantages are many.....less electricity, less heat, longer bulb life (~10 years), and dimmable bulbs for unlimited custom lighting schedules. And you even get the supposed Shimmer!

So far, PFO looks like the only major company with a product (Galileo and Solaris models).

So has anyone seen or used one of these yet? Opinions? (I searched the first 5 pages of this forum and didn't see anything)

Here's a detailed review pitted up against 250w metal halide:

I just read the AquaIllumination thread, and the Advanced Aquarist review. That system rocks! Even better than the Solaris, but the price tag. Wow!

Don't get me wrong, I love LED's.....and will eventually convert. But I have a beef with the comparisons they are running against the 250w MH's. They keep using the 20K bulbs, with generic reflectors. I would really like to see them do a comparison vs. a 10K in a LumenARC or LB reflector.
