Your LED fixture opinion please

Yes, LEDs for the house. I find it interesting how CFLs have pretty much come and gone, replaced by LEDs, compared to how long incandescents were around.

On a separate note Steve, how have your 5000K lights been received? Some people have a strong preference for very yellow warm white (2700k) and feel 5000K is too "hospital like".

Myself I am down with 5000K. i put 4000K in my kitchen and that seems a good compromise. I am using 3000K in my livingroom. I find the difference between 2700K (warm white) and 3000K (cool white) very noticeable and much to my liking.

I still use warm lamps in my dinning room and living room but everywhere else they are higher kelvin. My office, were I have my desktop monitor, I use 5k high CRI LED. They are great for viewing artwork and color proofing.

I've been using cheap *** ocean revives, and they have been growing sps fine. So if u wanna save some money I would recommend those, but if you wanna be a big baller shot caller I vote for Radeons! [emoji389][emoji389][emoji389]

Just got the reef breeders v2 unit. After about 15 years using my my/t5 setup I decided after seeing and doing my research the v2 was a great unit. Love the idea of no heat and $100 less a month on the PG&E. ;-)

Adam uses these with halides on his prop system. He hangs them high around 18-24" at runs them at all channels at 100%

I'll work my way up slowly but with the beast they are replacing it prob won't take long lol

All I did was take par measurements of my t5's and attempt to duplicate those numbers with the leds. I didn't have any issues and everything in my tank is growing like weeds now. One fixture won't be enough for your tank though, you'll end up getting a bunch of shadowing from your sticks. I added the supplemental led strips they sell and ultimately Ill need to add more light at some point cause things are getting shadowed as my frags turn into colonies.

Thanks for the word Steve. I figured it wouldn't match my old system having pegged the par meter and showing 1300 par in the water lol. But I'll see how it goes

Grant- Good luck with the new lights, let us know how they work out.
Here is a pic of your green coral that everyone has, think I need to get a better camera instead of this iphone.
