Has anyone used Instant Ocean Lifeguard Fish Medication? The active ingredient is 1-chloro-2,2,5,5-tetramethyl-4-imidazolidinone. I am aware of the current accepted practices of hyposalinity and/or copper or formaline (I'm going the hyposalinity route right now myself) but was wondering if this medication might be used at least to give the fish some temporary relief as the hypo gets to the trophonts.
It looks like a 5 day treatment, which would be great if it actually worked. The chemistry seems plausible, but I'm not sure if I want my fish to be the test bunnies
