Have my clownfish been spawning?

This has happened in the past. What looks like a small nest appears in the corner of the tank where they hang out and the little one appears to hang close to it. The bigger one swims around. This time the bigger one is harassing my Bartlett practically nonstop. I sometimes feel I need to spoon feed the Bartlett. Could this aggression be due to spawning behavior?

Have you noticed if the patch of eggs starts out orange and then turns silver within about a week? The aggression could be from spawning but there's isn't enough information to confirm that your clowns are actually spawning.

Sounds like what happens when my clowns spawn (every 3 weeks or so). The male (smaller one) is the main nurturer, constantly tending to the eggs. The female comes and goes but is very protective if other fish come around,
Congrats!

Thanks Joshbrookkate! At least I'm pretty sure it is as i suspect. I'm not set up to raise babies right now
! Feel sorry for the Bartletts Anthia though. Hope it doesn't stress the anthia out too much.

Have raised any of yours? Is it worth it? These are common Ocellaris. The
smaller one, not pictured is darker orange with more black.
